About Me

This three hour countdown show produced by United Stations Radio Network includes a countdown of the top 20 songs in country music as well as past hit songs. It featured a soundbite and 2 songs from the Chicks, Ready To Run, which came in at #3, and Cowboy Take Me Away, the "Best Bet To Be A Hit".

Host: Ben & Brian
Airdate weekend: October 30/31, 1999

(Some host comments not effecting the show have been edited out)

HOST: The Dixie Chicks have been known for their wild onstage costumes and you might expect that they'd look forward to Halloween as a chance to dress in something really outrageous. But dresswise, anyway, Halloween is just another day to country music's hottest trio.

NATALIE: Yeah, we get off November 15th and I just sort of, am like show up and put me in whatever you want to put me in. I'm over the clothes and thinking about stuff like that. We're having to do so much work with the album and we're going to London and Australia and so, I'm over dressing up.
