About Me

The Road is a two hour show produced by United Stations which features 2 country performers per episode coupled with soundbites and live songs from additional country acts. Seven Chicks songs appear in this episode with all tracks originating from one performance at the El Cajon Performing Arts Center in California (1998). Same soundbites as The Road 7/25/99 but with a different mix of songs, including a great rendition of Give It Up Or Let Me Go with Natalie's dad, Lloyd Maines, on steel guitar.

Host: Tony Russell
Airdate Weekend: November 13, 1998

1. I Can Love You Better (live)
2. Loving Arms (live)
3. Wide Open Spaces (live)

EMILY: The first reaction to the question was just that if it didn't happen, I knew that we knew we had put everything into this album that there was, and it wasn't that we weren't in love with the music and we had any regrets about it. It was, umm, you know we would stand behind the music no matter what and it just so happens that people have latched onto it which is great. Umm, career wise, I don't know what I'd be doing. I'd probably go back to school and go to college since I've been doing this since I was sixteen.

4. Let 'Er Rip (live)

MARTIE: But the thing about the goals. I was gonna say when we first started, when we thought about our goals, we weren't real specific. We weren't like, oh we have to have a number one song or this award or whatever. We all three agreed that longevity was the most important thing. Looking at the other artists that have had a really long career and we understand that your career is always gonna have ups and downs and we're willing to go through the ups and downs to have longevity.

5. Stand By Your Man (live)
6. Give It Up Or Let Me Go (live)
7. There's Your Trouble (live)
